Polish Roncesvalles

Roncesvalles Village is known among many people as the center of Toronto's Polish community. The neighbourhood hosts the annual Polish festival, the Jan Pavel II community center, several delis and restuarants and a host of other stores with a Polish flavour. Many of the local residents are either immigrants from Poland or trace their roots back to the old country.

Unfortunately, if you are reading this in 2010, the Polish festival is canceled for the year due to the street car track reconstruction. That's a shame, but it just means that next year's festival will be twice as good! And the piwo will taste twice as good too.

In any case, this page is meant to serve as the repository of all of this blog's post that is related to the Polish presence on Roncesvalles and environs.

[So it turns out, this blog program is not versatile enough to support what I had originally intended this page to be. Oh well. I guess I will have to manually include all the relevant posts.]
